Right now, the sales tax rule for built-in appliances is bundled together with fulfillment/installation services. This makes it tricky because different states have different requirements.
For example, in Ohio, sales tax should still apply to built-in appliances even if they’re not installed or delivered. With the current setup, it’s hard to stay compliant since the toggle doesn’t let us separate those cases.
It would help a lot if these rules were split into two separate options so we can control them individually:
Disable built-in appliances tax.
Disable built-in installation services tax.
And to make it clear, please also show an info message reminding users:
“These rules are determined by your specific state laws. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with any applicable local regulations.”
This way, businesses can set their tax rules correctly without being locked into one bundled option.
