Right now, our field teams don’t have a proper form for built-in refrigerator installations. They’re using general refrigeration or standard fridge forms, which don’t capture the specific measurements and clearances required for built-in models. Because of that, key details — like cabinet cutout space, panel thickness, or door swing — often get missed.
That causes problems on installation day: units don’t fit into cabinetry, doors can’t open fully, or there’s not enough ventilation space. It leads to reschedules, cabinet modifications, and frustrated customers.
We’d love to have a dedicated “Built-In Refrigerator” survey form in the Home Visit app, with all the right measurement fields and checks for this type of install.
It should help surveyors easily capture:
Cutout Dimensions — cabinet space height, width, and depth
Appliance Dimensions — actual fridge size and door swing depth
Clearance Requirements — top, side, rear, and door swing space
Panel/Trim Details — panel size, thickness, handle depth, and fit type
Access Path — doorways, hallways, stairs, elevator dimensions
Utility Locations — outlet and water line placement
In short, we just want a clear, guided form that ensures all built-in refrigerator details are recorded accurately the first time — so installations go smoothly and customers get a perfect, seamless fit.
