Our field teams currently don’t have a proper form dedicated to wall oven installations. They often end up using forms meant for other appliances, which don’t capture the specific measurements and requirements wall ovens need. This leads to missing details—like clearance for door swing, electrical junction box placement, or cabinet cutout accuracy—that can cause serious problems during installation.
Installers frequently arrive on-site only to find that the cutout is off by half an inch, the electrical line isn’t positioned correctly, or the oven can’t be maneuvered safely into place. It wastes time, frustrates customers, and often means a second visit.
We’d love to have a dedicated “Wall Oven” survey form in the Home Visit app, so surveyors can capture everything needed the first time.
The form should include sections for:
Cabinet cutout dimensions: Height, width, and depth of the opening.
Appliance dimensions: Overall size of the oven and depth with door open (important near walkways or kitchen islands).
Clearances: Ventilation space, face frame adjustments, and full door swing clearance.
Electrical requirements: Voltage, amperage, junction box location, and conduit length.
Access path details: Doorways, stairwells, and hallways to ensure safe delivery and fitting.
Additional notes: Wall strength, mounting supports, and stacked unit configurations.
In short, we just want a guided Wall Oven form that ensures surveyors gather all the right measurements, photos, and connection details—so installs go smoothly and customers aren’t left waiting for rework.
