Auto Request

Original Feedback: If i have 15 wed4107 on order that say avb, why are we getting an auto request to order more. Shouldn’t this be read that they are coming to meet the recommend amount?

Why this is a problem

Here’s the case:
Model ABC123 is configured with the auto-request feature to request 5 items when the available stock is 0. However, the model already has inventory listed as Available on Order. In this scenario, the system should recognize the existing on-order stock and avoid triggering an auto request.

Because the system doesn’t account for Available on Order inventory, it ends up creating unnecessary auto requests.

Proposed solution

Add an option to the auto-request feature that prevents new stock requests when there is already inventory in the Available on Order status.

This would help:

• Avoid duplicate or unnecessary requests

• Keep inventory data more accurate

• Better align auto-request behavior with real inventory availability
