Dashboard: Built-in Changelog Widget (Featurebase)

Users often miss important product updates because they currently appear as a small banner at the bottom of the dashboard. This banner is easy to overlook, feels disconnected from the interface, and doesn’t provide an easy way to view recent or past updates in one place.

A better approach would be to display updates in a dedicated changelog panel at the top of the dashboard, integrated seamlessly with the existing widgets. The panel should be collapsible, visually consistent, and clearly draw attention when new updates are available.

Requested improvements:

  • Add a collapsible changelog widget at the top of the dashboard that fetches entries from Featurebase, showing timestamps and short descriptions.

  • Include a clear visual indicator (e.g., pulse animation or badge) when new updates are available.

  • Match the existing dashboard design (border radius, padding, shadows, light/dark mode compatibility, responsiveness).

  • Remove the current green banner at the bottom to avoid redundancy.

  • Link each update to the full changelog for more details.

Clear request:
Replace the bottom banner with a top-of-dashboard, collapsible changelog widget integrated with Featurebase — highlighting new updates and aligning with the dashboard’s design and user experience.
