Clearly Show Where Refunds Are Applied (Quote vs. Order)

We really need a way to clearly see whether a refund was applied to a quote or to an order. Right now, there’s no simple way to identify this, which creates a lot of confusion for our team and makes it harder to explain to customers.

For example, if a customer calls in about a refund, our service team has to dig through multiple places just to figure out whether the refund was tied to their order or a quote. This slows down support, creates mistakes in reporting, and makes financial reconciliation more difficult than it should be.

It would be super helpful if the system could just label refunds in payment records as either:

  • Refund to Quote

  • Refund to Order

And then show this consistently in the Payment Breakdown Report, the Customer Credit History, and the Order Payment Details pop-up. That way, no matter where we’re looking, the refund source is always clear.

👉 What we’d like: A consistent way to identify refund applications across all pages, so customer service, accounting, and reporting teams always know exactly where a refund belongs.
