We need to add restrictions to the platform when clients are manually or bulk importing inventory that requires the client (or a developer) to fill in all brand and category data. SKUs in physical inventory MUST match a sku in the Skulytics API in order for the data to be synced and allowed to be added to a quote.
Any skus loaded into inventory that do not sync get created as Custom Products. All custom products need to continue to be reviewed by the data team to see if any need to be converted to registered models in the Skulytics API. This conversion needs to happen automatically. The client should not need to go back into their physical inventory and manually edit/register any skus. Any custom skus in physical inventory that match by brand and sku should automatically be converted and synced.
Typos happen A LOT when it comes to inventory. This can cause skus to get added as Custom Products and not synced to the actual version available in the Skulytics API. When the data team is reviewing custom products, they should be reporting any possible typos back to the client that created the custom product so that they can make the correction and edit the product so that it syncs properly.
