Right now, once an order is in transit, we can’t change the fulfillment type — the option is just grayed out. Even if no refund is needed, the system blocks us.
This creates unnecessary headaches when a customer wants to upgrade or downgrade their delivery type mid-process. For example, if someone upgrades from curbside to white-glove while their order is still on the way, we can’t update it directly. Instead, we’re stuck with manual workarounds and messy explanations to the customer.
What we’d love is the flexibility to change fulfillment anytime before the order is delivered. The system should simply:
If the new option costs more → prompt us to collect the difference.
If it costs less → let us process a refund right away.
If it’s the same price → just let us switch.
And if there are multiple quantities in the same line item, it should be possible to split them so we can apply different fulfillment types individually.
This way, sales staff and admins can smoothly make updates, customers get what they want without delays, and all changes are logged clearly.
👉 Please allow us to change fulfillment on any undelivered order — with built-in payment/refund handling — so we’re not locked out of helping our customers mid-order.
