Let us customize delivery fees, zones, and subtotal messaging (web + POS)

Our current online order settings don’t match how we price and present delivery. We need more flexible delivery fee zones, clearer subtotal language, and a couple of small workflow tweaks so customers see accurate costs and our team doesn’t have to hack workarounds.

Here’s what we’re trying to do, in plain English:

  • Price delivery by zone and by option.
Inside each Delivery Fee Zone, we want to set a different price for each delivery option (e.g., “Unbox & Set Inside,” “Install,” etc.). Today we can’t express that level of nuance.

  • Set an online-only delivery limit.
Each delivery method should have an “Online Order Limit” so we can cap what customers can schedule on the website without affecting what our in-store team can do.

  • Make “Pricing Zones” clearer and more useful.

    • Rename “Pricing Zones” → Delivery Fee Zones.

    • Rename the “Price” column → Mileage Fee.

    • Add a place to set Delivery Option prices per zone (e.g., Unbox & Set Inside costs one thing in Zone 1 and another in Zone 2).

    • Add a Delivery Surcharge Fee column that only applies below a set order value and shows in the table as “+$100 if <$4000.”

    • Add a simple toggle: “Remove surcharge if Install is present? YES/NO.”

    • Improve the ZIP view: default to a compact “X ZIPs” count, with a one-click expand to see the actual ZIPs per zone.

  • Clarify the order subtotal (website + POS).
Split our current delivery line into two, so customers understand what’s mileage vs. surcharge:

    • “Mileage Fee … $XX.XX”

    • “Purchase $XXX.XX more in product to save $XX on delivery!”

      • Purchase = minimum order value − current order value

      • Savings = surcharge − normal mileage fee

      • If Savings equals the normal mileage fee, keep the current website version to avoid confusing messaging.
Also add a “Delivery Service Charges … $XX.XX” line that matches the Install line style and uses the same popup/details pattern.

  • Separate cutoff times.
Rename “Cut Off Time Delivery” → Cut Off Time, and when enabled, let us set different times for Online Orders vs In-Store Orders.

  • Please include UI for the new subtotal layout.
This change affects both the website and POS. We’d love the design included in this task so our teams can visualize before rollout.

Quick example

  • Zone 1: Mileage Fee $39.99; Unbox & Set Inside $9.99

  • Zone 2: Mileage Fee $59.99; Unbox & Set Inside $12.99

  • Surcharge rule: +$100 if <$4000, Remove surcharge if Install = YES

At checkout, a $3,850 cart in Zone 2 with no install would show:

  • Mileage Fee … $59.99

  • Purchase $150.00 more in product to save $40.01 on delivery!
(Once Install is added, the surcharge disappears based on the toggle.)

What we’re asking for

Please let us:

  1. Set per-option delivery prices inside each Delivery Fee Zone.

  2. Add an Online Order Limit per delivery method.

  3. Rename/reshape zones and columns as above, add a surcharge rule (with “remove if install” toggle), and improve ZIP visibility.

  4. Update subtotal lines (website + POS) to clearly separate Mileage Fee, Surcharge messaging, and Delivery Service Charges with an info popup.

  5. Add separate Cut Off Time fields for online vs. in-store.

This will align pricing with how we actually deliver, reduce confusion for customers, and save our team time.
