We work with several brands that use UMRP (Unilateral Minimum Resale Price). Right now there’s no safeguard in the platform to keep our sale prices at or above those UMRP values. That leaves room for accidental underpricing, which can trigger penalties from vendors and creates inconsistent pricing across our catalog.
What we need is a simple way to say: “If a brand has UMRP, use it—no exceptions.”
Here’s how we imagine it working from our side:
When a brand provides UMRP data, we see a “UMRP Compliance” toggle in the pricing area (similar look/feel to the existing MAP Compliance option).
If we turn it on, each product’s Sale Price is locked to the brand’s UMRP. No overrides, no falling back to other price sources (MAP, PMAP, LAP, etc.).
If a product doesn’t have UMRP data, that item just follows our normal pricing rule (e.g., MSRP or the active rule we’ve set).
Only one compliance option is shown at a time based on the brand’s data:
UMRP data → show UMRP Compliance
MAP/PMAP data → show MAP Compliance
No brand pricing data → show neither
The compliance toggle appears under the “Set Rule” section (not at the top), so it’s only visible when it’s relevant and matches how MAP works.
A quick example to make it concrete:
Brand A provides UMRP for Model X at $1,299.
We enable UMRP Compliance for Brand A.
Model X’s Sale Price locks to $1,299. If we try to set $1,249 or let another rule override it, the platform prevents it.
Model Y (same brand) has no UMRP data, so it uses our normal rule (say, MSRP or whatever we’ve configured).
Tooltips and help text should clearly say something like: when enabled, UMRP Compliance locks Sale Price to the brand’s UMRP with no override or fallback; if no UMRP exists for a product, it follows the standard rule.
Our request:
Please add a UMRP Compliance option that, when enabled for eligible brands, locks Sale Price to UMRP with no fallback to other pricing sources. Show the right compliance toggle (UMRP or MAP) based on the brand’s data, and place it under “Set Rule” for clarity and consistency.
