🧠 Product Pricing: Global Price Rule
Created by: Katie
Feedback from: Katie & Brooklawn
🐞 Problem
Currently, on the Settings → Product Pricing page, clients see a full list of all their brands and must go into each brand individually to configure multiple pricing rules one by one.
⚠️ Why is this a problem
This is highly time-consuming and repetitive—especially for clients managing many brands with identical pricing strategies. It increases the likelihood of errors and inconsistency between brands and adds unnecessary setup friction.
✅ Solution
Add a Global Price Rule option at the top of the Product Pricing page, positioned above the list of brands.
Visually differentiate it (e.g., slight color variation or border) so it stands out from the brand list.
When clicked, it should open the same price rule box interface currently used for individual brands.
Clearly label this section to indicate that any rules set here will apply to all brands globally.
After applying the global rule, clients can still edit individual brand rules to override or adjust specific brand-level settings as needed.
🚀 Outcome
This update will dramatically speed up initial configuration, improve pricing consistency, and provide clients with a clear, hierarchical approach to managing pricing rules—global first, then brand-specific exceptions.
*Think Through: Do we need an additional message to be added inside each of the individual brand pricing rule pop-up boxes if the global price rule is implemented? - Yes, probably.
