Right now, the totals box on Quotes and Orders is really confusing. It doesn’t clearly show the order of transactions, so we end up jumping between other parts of the system just to figure out what actually happened with a sale. That slows us down and increases the chance of making mistakes.
What we’d love to see is a redesigned totals section that lays everything out in a clear, organized way—kind of like an income statement. For example:
Show clear sections for things like Original Price, Total Savings, Add-ons, Payment History, Refunds, and Customer Line of Credit.
Each section could expand/collapse so you only see the details if you need them.
If a section has nothing in it (like $0 amounts), it should just stay hidden.
Refunds should clearly show where they went (store credit, credit card, etc.), and even break out how much sales tax was refunded.
Credit line payments should have their own section with date + amount, or note that no credit line is used if that’s the case.
Mail-in rebates should also be listed under Savings but clearly marked as “not deducted from the total” so customers know they have to apply for them separately.
It would also help if percentages (like sales tax %) appeared right next to the amounts, and totals at the bottom of each section added up cleanly. Visual cues like bold totals, red boxes for refunds, and an easy “Add Promo” button would make the whole thing even clearer.
Request: Please simplify the totals section so we can see the full transaction story in one place—savings, add-ons, payments, refunds, and credits—without having to reference other parts of the system.
