As a dealer, I need the site to show a clear “Arrives by…” date for products that aren’t in stock (dropship/special order). Right now customers don’t know what to expect, which leads to frustration and lots of manual back-and-forth.
What would help:
Always display an ETA range for out-of-stock items on the product page and cart.
Calculate ETA from:
Brand lead time (simple business days or batch rules like “Order by Tue → Ships Wed”).
Freight days (extra time based on miles between origin ZIP and customer ZIP).
Let admins set defaults by brand and override at the model/SKU level.
Example: Brand A = 3–5 business days + 4 freight days = “Arrives by Oct 14–18.” If data’s missing, show: “Typically ships in 2–4 weeks — contact us for exact timing.”
Request: Add a Delivery ETA Settings area where we can configure brand rules, freight mapping, and overrides. Then automatically show “Arrives by…” dates for all out-of-stock products.
