As a dispatcher, there are days when we don’t need to use all the trucks in our fleet. For example, if it’s a light day or if one of our trucks breaks down, we want to send out deliveries using just one truck—even though we have more than one set up in the system.
Right now, it seems impossible to do this. Even if I try to “hide” a truck (like clicking the eye icon), it doesn’t actually remove it from dispatching. The system still tries to assign deliveries to both trucks, and once routes are created, I can’t get it to switch back to just one truck. It’s confusing, and the eye icon isn’t clear—most people won’t even realize it’s a button.
For example, today I only needed one truck, but the system kept trying to use both. I couldn’t find a way to make all deliveries go to just one truck, no matter what I tried.
Please make it possible to easily dispatch all deliveries to just one truck, even if we have more than one in our fleet. It should be simple to select which truck (or trucks) are active for the day, and the system should only assign deliveries to those trucks.
