This is not worded very well. I don’t understand what it means and a customer called asking me about it. What is a
“built-in appliances tax” and a “built-in installation services tax?”
She thought it meant a tax on appliances built into the house itself. I interpret it as the appliance tax is built into the software. But honestly, I don’t know the answer.
Whatever is the correct answer, it should be reworded and more of an explanation should be provided.
I suspect it should just say “disable tax on appliances” and “disable tax on installations.”
Also, I would reword “Charge sales tax on fulfillment services when the item is taxable.” to “Charge sales tax on fulfillment services IF the item is taxable.”
and
“Charge sales tax on protection plan when the item is taxable.” to “Charge sales tax on protection plan if the item is taxable.”
